Beautiful Life Adult Day Center News

This year the first day of July falls on a Saturday. That being said, the staff and clients at Beautiful Life will have a mini-vacation to celebrate the US Independence Day which means we will be closed July 3rd & 4th. Have a Safe Holiday and enjoy the company of Family and Friends!

The center will reopen Wednesday July 5th.  We had so much FUN last month at the Mall/Lunch Outing so we decided to go back this month.  This is scheduled on Friday, July 7 and the cost is $10.  Please have your money by Thursday, July 6.

Would you like to know a TRIVIA of a place that fascinates both the young and old? The “Happiest Place On Earth” Disneyland opened its doors to the public on July 17, 1955. Walt Disney, its founder, had a vision of a place where children and parents could have fun together. Disneyland grew and turned into the icon it is today. On July 20th, come to the center dressed in your favorite Disney Character while we talk more about its history.

Other events BLADC have scheduled this month are Sing Along, Wii Entertainment, Music Therapy, Spa Day, Dance Battle, and Bingo to name a few. If you want to know all of them then just flip the page over and you’ll see how much F-U-N we have at Beautiful Life!!!

Meet the Client — Lamorris W.

Lamorris is 31.  He lives in Caladonia. He is one of the first clients at BLADC and has been coming daily (unless he’s out of town) for the past 9½ years. He enjoys dancing, singing, rapping, and entertaining others.

He likes to be called “Moe”and  his favorite saying is “Get N There”.  If not cutting up with the staff and clients during downtime, you can see him around the Center helping clients and staff in whatever ways HE CAN. We love you MOE!!!

Gingivitis is a common and mild form of gum disease that causes irritation, redness, and swelling of your gum around the base of your teeth. It’s important to take gingivitis seriously and treat it promptly. If not, it can lead to much more serious gum disease periodontitis and tooth loss.

The most common cause of gingivitis is poor oral hygiene. Good oral health habits, such as brushing at least twice a day, flossing daily and getting regular dentist checkups, can help prevent and reverse gingivitis.
